My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Luna and I am approximately 2 1/2 years old (as of 7-11-17). I am a beautiful, white American Staffordshire Terrier, possibly boxer or English Bull Dog mix. I weigh approximately 50 pounds right now, but I am a little overweight. My normal weight should be around 40-45 lbs. I am housetrained and I really don't need to be crated. In fact, I do better without a crate. All I need are a couple bones or toys to hang out with and I'm good! I absolutely LOVE to be with my humans. I will go on walks, hiking, whatever they want me to do! Just wait until you see my underbite, it is the cutest thing! I have lived with dogs before and have been great with most dogs, but I can be selective. So I need someone to be dog savvy know how to properly dogs or test the waters first with each canine they want me to meet. RARE will do any initial introductions with any dogs in the home to ensure the right fit.

My adoption fee is $85.00. I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. *PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT RURALANIMALRESCUEEFFORT.ORG **An application and home visit are required prior to adoption. All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Our ability to perform out of state adoptions is limited and reviewed on a case by case basis. If you are not in TN, please ask us about the potential of adopting the specific animal you are interested in. Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE! Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information. ***Please Note*** The breeds noted are guesses on the part of the volunteers of RARE based on the physical characteristics of the particular animal. We are not breed experts and cannot afford to perform DNA tests; therefore, the noted breeds may not be exact.
