Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Attention! DUTCHESS Here!
I am a very cute, playful, loveable, female, spayed, microchipped, Dachshund/Terrier mix looking for my forever home. My Birthday is July 4th 2015 and weight is approx. 13 lbs. I am a real sweet dog / lap dog, who is playful and loving, like my foster mom describes me, she says I smile at her every time I see her.
I was rescued from the parking lot of Carson shelter along with my twin sister, I was pregnant and the nice rescue lady saved us from being dumped at the high kill shelter by our family. I am a lapdog and develop a very loyal disposition to my adopter in no time - like love at first sting - when it is the right match. Beside this amazing bundle of love and loyalness, I need a strong leader as I get easily in a protection or guarding mode of my owner if not properly led through from the beginning. My best guess for this minus is my huge amount of love for my adopter. My best fit is a retired person or family in a calm environment with few visitors and no children. I am good with most dogs and playful but please consider it could feed my protective and guarding mode which is caused by the anxiety to be dumped or rejected again developed through experiences of my past life chapter.
In the beginning until I warm up with new arrivals like visitors, it is safe to crate me, once proper introductions are made I can meet the people.
Yours with a happy tailwag!
DUTCHESS
