I am Princess. I spent some time living in a beautiful garden, where I had my puppies, but now I'm learning how to live like royalty inside a house.

Indoor living is great. I've just started to figure out how to play and it's a blast! I've made lots of new friends, dogs and humans. I haven't met any new kids friends yet, but I'm learning to try new things, so I might like them. The more friends I make, the more excited I am to meet new friends. I'm learning how much fun other dogs can be. We play and play and play until we just can't play anymore. Then, I find the nearest human to cuddle with on the couch. The couch is my favorite place to be when I'm inside. If I knew about couches before, I would've moved inside a long time ago!

I would love to live in a family with or without other dogs, I'm happy either way. I'm pretty good at adapting to my surroundings, so as long as I have a friendly human with me, I know I can overcome anything. I've come a long way from living in a garden, and I grow more and more each day.

About Westbury CARE

About Our Rescue Group...

Westbury CARE:

Westbury CARE (Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on the animal-related rescue and community engagement in Westbury, a neighborhood located in the southwest area of Houston, Texas.

We address many of the growing animal-related problems in Westbury, which include roaming/stray animals, lost/found animals, and a lack of neutering, spaying, microchipping, and pet licensing. We offer guidance on animal topics such as training, grooming, and proper veterinary care.

CARE focuses on pets in our area through five active committees that work together and work hands-on. We have a committed group of volunteers that work diligently to make all these things possible to achieve.

Through these committees and local events, we provide education and outreach within our community. We make efforts to reunite lost pets with their owners, and if we are unable to locate the owner, we work to find foster and forever homes for found pets. We also have an active trap neuter return (TNR) committee for cats in order to reduce the feral cat population in our area. Through donation drives and events, we are able to not only funs these activities, but educate and provide beneficial information to the public.

CARE’s focus is to monitor and offer support to stray and loose animals in Westbury while improving the quality of care for animals living in our neighborhood.

Animals can travel a significant distance in a short amount of time, so it is critical to communicate with surrounding neighborhoods and rescue groups. CARE's well rounded and thorough program allows us to provide a comprehensive and cohesive approach to animal rescue, therefore improving the quality of life for all who reside here.
