LUCKY is a 3 1/2 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 64 pounds. Lucky is a sweet boy who ended up with a rescuer, along with 2 other dogs, after his owner lost their home. He is a very sweet guy who wants nothing more than to hang out with you or play with a toy. He is very good at entertaining himself but loves attention also. Lucky is a good rider . He pulls a little on leash but does well with an EZ walk harness. Lucky is crated trained and house trained. He lived with a cat in his previous home. Lucky was a little leery of strangers at first but has gotten much better and enjoys new company now. He is still very nervous when at the vet office, poor guy. Lucky is good with other dogs but is a little wary and definitely prefers calmer friends. Lucky is approved for kids ages 10+.
Update: FOSTER FRIDAY: Lucky would love the be lucky enough to find his furever family. He is a well mannered, wonderful pup. He is great in the crate, good on leash, a good rider. He loves toys and to play. He is good with dogs in the yard and on walks. He can be very picky about sharing his "domain" with other dogs so he would prefer to be an only dog in his home but is fine for walks and meeting others. We are told he lived with a cat in his previous home but have not had the opportunity to test him ourselves. While Lucky loves hanging out at Katie's Lab Lounge in Amelia VA, he sure would love for someone to try their luck with him :-)
Update: Lucky is a super sweet boy. He is well mannered and calm. He loves to be with you but entertains himself just fine also. While Lucky gets along with other dogs and loves to hang out with them outside, we are finding that he would like to be an only dog as he is not keen on sharing his indoor space. If you are looking for that loyal, adorable, loving, well mannered boy the you can take for walks and out and about meeting other pups but would not mind sharing you home with just him, Lucky is your man!
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound) Adopters must travel to Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.
Lab Rescue LRCP has between 50 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.

An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
