Hi there. My name is Patches. I'm approximately 4 years old and I weigh 50.8 lbs.
My friend Lily and I were surrendered to the pound by our owner because she was moving to a place where we weren't allowed to go. We used to be house dogs but owner moved in with her Dad and he had a house dog and we didn't mix well with her so our owner had been keeping us in a kennel outside.
I am not an outgoing and overly friendly dog yet. I was very undersocialized so it has taken me some time to come around here but I am truly doing well now. I love to go on walks and be with the people here at the pound. I also like being petted and getting attention, but fast movements and restraint/ hugging frightens me.The pound feels that, at this time, I wouldn't do well in a home with children under age 10.
I do well with other dogs after a slow, proper introduction. I have lived with and been around other dogs my whole life, but when I first meet them it can be a little bit overwhelming for me at first.
I am going to be a really, truly wonderful dog if someone can just spend a little bit of time with me building my confidence.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JUNE 2, 2016.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $120 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING, MICROCHIP AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
