Max's Story...
MUST READ FIRST!!!!

All contact MUST be made directly through the owners and NOT through this website. This is a courtesy listing under the auspices of the Heart of America Humane Society.

Meet Max, an AKC registered dachshund pup who is almost 5 months old. He sleeps through the night but still needs to work on potty training etc. He is a ball of fire but likes nothing more than to be in your lap as well. Max is still very much a puppy with a lot of energy and who will need a forever family with a lot of patience to help him along. Because of Max's tender age (and breed), a family with no children under ten would be highly advisable. There will be a re-homing fee but please contact his current owners to discuss at 913 680-2446 or email at carbedard@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Overland Park Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
