Nerf's Story...
My Stats:

Chocolate Labrador Retriever
5 years old
76 pounds

Nickname: Pin-Ball Boy

Favorite Activities: Fetch. Fetch. Treats. Fetch. Playing in the water. Fetch. Playing tug, getting pet and following the sound of your voice. I am a super goofy guy who has some troubling seeing- which is where I get my nickname- I tend to bump into things for a while until I get familiar with surroundings.

Pet Peeves: Stairs are big one, those things are tough for me to master. I’m a little too curious of new things and I like to use my mouth to explore, so small kids 8+ are more my style.

Come in and meet me so we can get to know each other better!

My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nerf, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
