Wylie's Story...
This dog is an absolute doll. By his size you'd never guess that he's one of the easiest dogs in the shelter to walk, doesn't pull on leash, sits nicely, isn't hand-shy, is docile and calm, and soaks up any lovin' he can get. We think he'll do well with other dogs. He'll need some good exercise every day to keep him fit. Wylie is just an all around sweet guy. Get him out of here!

Act quickly to adopt Wylie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wylie, a Berkeley Rottweiler/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Chow Chow for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Rottweiler/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Chow Chow breeders who help with Rottweiler/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
