My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is an extremely handsome 70 lb., 1 1/2 year old yellow lab. He was taken from a high kill shelter in the Midwest and is now in a wonderful foster home learning about the good life. Gus is thriving in his foster home and loves everyone ! His foster mom says this about him - 'Gus gets so excited to be around people! He has a big loving face and just wants to be loved, and have you throw the ball for him. He groans with enjoyment when you scratch the right places. He’s just one happy boy.' Gus is currently living with a 1 year old and is doing fine, although older children would be recommended because of his size and energy level. Gus does great with other dogs, loves to play fetch, knows the sit command, does pretty well on the leash but could use a little more practice, is crate trained and house trained. Being a young boy he would benefit greatly from obedience classes. He would be considered medium energy and we can cat test if needed. Gus would make a great fit for just about any family. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. If you would like to learn more about this awesome boy, go to our website, www.luckylabrescue.com, complete the online application and indicate 'Gus' in the notes section. He is available in the Midwest and in New England.
