Hi there! We are Bug and Badger and we are in search of our forever home. We came to Power of the Paw after someone abandoned us in a box on someone's front porch. They called Power of the Paw and POTP said YES. At that time, we were too young to eat on our own so we were bottle fed for a few short days until we could learn to eat from a bowl.

We are now healthy and old enough to go to our forever homes. We are typical kitten who love to run around and play. We climb things and like to spend time getting the hang of moving around and being successful at jumping from place to place. We don't have to go together, but we will tell you that 2 kittens are better than one! We keep eachother company. But if you just want one, that's fine too.

Power of the Paw says kittens are hard to find homes for, so they have dropped our adoption fee to $50 which includes neuter, FVRCP, Leukemia, microchip and deworm. Go to and fill out an application so you can meet us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Badger, a Rathdrum Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rathdrum, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Rathdrum.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rathdrum already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rathdrum breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rathdrum paves the way for another one to be saved.
