Rudi's Story...
6/24/2016: RUDI HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Rudi and his 5 brothers and sisters were the result of an OOPS litter between a dachshund mom and a boston terrier dad.All of the pups do resemble the boston terrier in the face and should remain small dogs-under 25 pounds (however, we can not guarantee mature size). The pups are currently only 6 weeks old and will not be able to leave us for several weeks however we would like to start getting homes lined up for them as soon as possible so that they will be able to join their new families while they are still babies and can be molded to fit each individual home situation. The pups will be current on their age appropriate vaccinations when they leave us and will be spayed or neutered in about 2 weeks when they are 8 weeks of age. The pups are all very playful and loving. Their little tails start wagging as soon as they start to get attention so you know that they are happy little kids. If you would like to add this unique combination of boston/dachshund to your life, please fill out our adoption application and submit an email with your interest to us. We will be accepting adoption applications until the pups are spayed/neutered. At that time we will notify all applicants of our final placement decisions and will make arrangements for each pup to go home. You may also call us at (352)493-1255 if you have any questions. The adoption fee for each baby will be $250 and will assist us with their vetting and daily cost of care while they are with us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudi, a Chiefland Boston Terrier/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Chiefland, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Chiefland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chiefland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chiefland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chiefland paves the way for another one to be saved.
