Meet Gigi
GIGI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME OR FOSTER HOME, Gigi has had a lot of hurdles in her life. It hasn’t been an easy life. Her former life was as a backyard dog, confined to a chain for 8 of her 10 years. A few months ago, she’s became incapable of walking and was relinquished to LoveAPitBull. She’d lost all function of her legs and her bladder.
An MRI shows an inflammation within her Thoracic spinalcord. Medical support, lots of rehabilitation has allowed some great progress for Gigi. She has regained some motor function of her rear legs. She gets around with the support of her wheelchair or with some assistance with her walker and a sling. Gigi loves to move and she’s lost a great deal of weight which is critical to her overall quality of life. Will she walk unassisted again? Probably not, but she still continues to make progress so regardless she’s come quite aways in her mobility. She enjoys going on walks, meeting people and enjoying being around the people she loves.
Gigi is looking for her forever home or a foster home that will be dedicated to her care and well being. Trust me, you’d get a whole lot of love from this girl, she is definitely grateful for new experiences. She is great with other dogs and is always cheerful and sweet. She would do great in a home with someone who works from home. She’d be perfect with someone who is into fitness that can work her out too. Her smile with brighten anyones day. She is a joy to be around and her spirit despite the years of neglect is just a happy receiver and giver of affection and love.
