My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miriam was rescued from animal care and control where she was listed as a stray. With space at a premium, her shyness in the kennel in addition to having a doggy cold did not fare well for her. RESCUE stepped in, nursed her back to health, and now she is very eager to find a new family!

Wow! What a difference good health care and a lot of TLC makes! Miriam has truly blossomed in the short amount of time we have had her. She has gone from being absolutely terrified while shaking in the back corner of a cage at animal control, to literally bounding up to our volunteers, tail wagging, and eyes glistening! :) Miriam is quickly stealing many hearts and it's so easy to see why. Yes, there is the cuteness factor, BIG time cute with a capital C, but Miriam is not that shallow! :) She is the ideal dog for someone who is looking for a lap dog, and a constant cuddler. Miriam adores to be held, loved on, and carried around. She would love to have a home where someone is around a lot to spend some good quality time with her. As far as dog friends go, we will have to consider a home with another dog on a case by case basis, as Miriam has demonstrated an absolute love for some dogs, while dislikingothers. She is very particular when it comes to her canine circle, but when a dog is in, he/she is "in"! Case in point, Miriam's current best pal is fellow RESCUE dog Coco. We hear that Miriam sneaks out of her own kennel, and visits Coco's "pad" quite frequently! The little sneak!

As you can see, our gal has developed quite a personality, and life for her is only going to get better.

If you are looking for a furry love muffin' to share your life with, please consider Miriam!
