One look at this beautiful little girl you can tell that something is missing in her life. Her personality sparkles with hope that one day true love will knock on her door. Homesick for a place she’s not even sure exists. One where her heart is full & her soul understood. A place where she desperately wants to be someone’s little princess.
Give this little pittie some time to emerge from her shell. Reassure her that from now on life will be beautiful just like she is. Amelia is a very calm, quiet & laid back pup who’s happy just to be by your side. Once you have met her comfort levels she is the biggest cuddle bug you will ever meet. She will sit pretty leaning up against you with a smile that radiates from ear to ear which is simply contagious. Her loyalty is unmatched, her love ever flowing & her affection given freely.
Among Amelia’s interest are playing ball & spending time with you. Breathing in the fresh air seems to makes her feel free of worries. One of her intimate secrets is her love for laser pointers. She simply can’t get enough of that little red light that moves sooo quick cross the floor! Like most pups Amelia would benefit from taking some basic obedience courses. She’s not very fluid in her commands but does know the meaning of sit. Devote some time to helping her understand & the possibilities are endless. She wants nothing more than to make you proud & her efforts will prove to be successful. Another great thing about Amelia is she’s house broken.
Amelia is looking for amazing new parents who will be patient, kind, caring & loving. Unfortunately she was probably never socialized when she was younger so she prefers to be your one & only furry love. More comfortable with adult companionship she would thrive in a home without little kids. Looking for a fairy tail life with all the comforts of home. Note: As with all of our dogs, we strongly recommend obedience classes for new owner and dog to create a life-long bond with the adopted dog based on trust, respect and rewarding training experiences. We are offering dog training classes through FMAS Wagtime Dog Training. You can check out more information at www.fmaswagtime.com. We can help you train practical skills you use every day with positive reinforcement training. Our shelter dogs are strays and we observe and assess their behavior at the shelter which may be somewhat different in a home environment. In addition dogs adopted from the Manchester Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have received their Rabies and distemper vaccinations as well as other necessary medical care such as flea treatment. All dogs are also heartworm tested. Some prudent care such as heartworm medication is not provided at the shelter and should be taken care of at the earliest convenience upon adoption.
