Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Her name says it all: Jazzy has a sparkling personality, loves people, and will certainly liven things up around your house! As you can see from her pictures she is full of self-confidence. Jazzy does well with older, larger dogs but tends to be bossy with smaller or less assertive dogs. Jazzy is about 3 months old and weighs 10 pounds. She looks like a Shepherd but is so small we think she might be a Doxie/Beagle mix, or some other small breed. Since that is a complete guess only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of what breed and size she grows into should apply!
Jazzy is quickly learning how to walk on a leash, and enjoys taking brisk walks. She is well-mannered in the house and is house-trained if kept on a schedule. We have learned she does not like sleeping in a crate-- she much prefers a pillow of her own, and sleeps through the night without an accident. She is currently teething and is very mouthy, so she is not a good match for a family with young children.
Jazzy needs a family where someone is home part or all of the day to keep her on a regular potty schedule, keep her socialized, and take her to puppy school.
Jazzy is being fostered at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd. and you can meet her any time during store hours 7 days a week (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although she is so much fun you will want to take her home on the spot, please know you will have to go through the application process first.
Jazzy's adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, routine deworming, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, microchip and spay.
