Tate's Story...
Hello! My name is Tate - I am a 3 year old and 8lb chihuahua mix. Are you my new family? Hmm before I jump to conclusions, I should probably let you know a bit more about me first before you put in an application!

I am said to be a very sweet and social boy, with a love of dogs, toys, and nylabones. I could be described as a medium energy dog - so would appreciate some exercise in the form of walks and adventures, but also I really enjoy hanging out on the couch with you and getting lots of love.

I am neutered, current on my shots, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm tested, and seen by a vet to make sure I'm healthy! If you're looking for a fun loving sweetheart like me, please send an email to calicanrescue@gmail.com to arrange a telephone interview with CaliCan Rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tate, a Edmonton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
