He is a very sweet dog once he trusts you and really wants to please. Bayou is great with dogs and cats. He must go to a home with a fenced in yard and another young dog for companionship. About The Long Journey To A New Beginning Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing domestic
animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their
former owners. Our belief is that animals are sentient beings who are not
merely "pets" but family members and strive to find them homes who share
this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where
they receive veterinary care, socialization, excercise, love and good
nutrition until their forever home can be found. Our goal is to find
successful placements so we strive to fit the breed, temperament and
individual needs of the animals with their potential adopters. Animals
will be kept with us for as long as it takes to find the perfect home for
them. Our group does not discriminate against animals based on breed or
physical disability.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an extensive application which must be filled out and approved, prior to anyone being able to meet the animal they are interested in. We reserve the right to deny any application we feel is not the appropriate fit for the animal. We require home visits, veterinary reference and that all members of the family travel to meet the animal they are interested in adopting. Adoption fee is $300. We do have an adoption contract.
