Howdy, y’all! Little Lady here. I have spent my whole life making babies for people to sell at flea markets. I recently developed two hernias on my little teets and I was deemed no longer fit for breeding, so my people took me to the flea market to get rid of me as well. I know – boo! But that’s the past, let’s move forward.
A kind gentleman saw me and fell in love with me. He agreed to “save” me, although he didn’t have anywhere to take me. He ran across a nearby adoption festival, where he asked several rescues to take me. Some were gone, some had to say “no,” but, of course, Mama Donna’s “people” were still there … and packing up their last bag for the day … and, well, they couldn’t say no. How could you? Look at this face!
In addition to the masses that were growing on me, I had 18 teeth rotting in my head. That happens a lot to breeder moms like me — all of the nutrients I ever received, few and far between, went straight to my babies.
Fortunately, the masses were benign and easily removed and, once all of those nasty teeth were out of my head, I really perked up. I was also spayed, so no more babies for me. I now am the baby — and a like it. In fact, I like it a lot. I am a feisty little delight who loves everyone I meet. Unlike a lot of breeder dogs, I totally trust people and love being held and loved on.
I haven’t spent a whole lot of time directly with the other dogs here because I’ve been healing up, but they don’t faze me at all. I should be fine with other dogs. Doc couldn’t really specify my age because of my bad teeth, but he guessed around 6-7 years old. I’m ready to roll to a new home. Come out, meet me … and let me give you a big hug … because I will!
