Jake's Story...
JAKE - male, beagle mix, 1-2yrs, 22lbs.
Hi, my name is Jake! I'm around 1 1/2 yrs old, a Beagle mix and very, very bouncy. I love to cuddle and play with my foster brothers. My foster mum also has a bunch of cats who have taught me some manners too. I am getting much better at walking on a leash, although I do get distracted by all the great 'sniffies' outside. I'm house trained, mostly, and I'm getting used to my crate. I love it when it's beside my foster mum's bed at night; that way I settle down right away. I'm looking for a family with kids who will play with me a lot, and grown ups will love me as a companion for another dog too. I am pretty smart and very willing to learn how to be the perfect doggie buddy. I give kisses and great cuddles. I'm also small enough at 22lbs to be a lap dog, pretty please. I just know there's someone out there who will love me, hug me and help me be the bestest doggie friend ever. Luv Jake!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a St. Catharines Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in St. Catharines, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in St. Catharines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Catharines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Catharines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Catharines paves the way for another one to be saved.
