Princess Leah's Story...
Princess Leah is a precious Poodle/Bichon mix. he is approximately three years old and is in good health. Princess Leah is a indoors dog and is doggie-door trained. She is a bit insecure in new situations and tends to find her confidence by being close to her person. She does not like to be alone and having another small dog would be a plus. Princess Leah is very sensitive and loving to other animals and loves little kittens and cats. She is a great car rider and can travel safely uncrated. Princess Leah is just one very special dog and she would thrive in a home that is quiet and loving and has a master who perhaps works from home. Just a reminder that due to her breed she will need regular grooming to look her best. We also recommend a teeth cleaning within a year of adoption. Currently Leah is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $200 and goes directly to helping our organization save another dog in need. Thank you for thinking rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess Leah, a Bakersfield Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
