Caoba's Story...
Caoba is available to foster. If you'd like to foster please contact us at: foster@nyanimalrescue.org

Meet 10 year old Caoba. This senior boy was rescued from ACC. He has been with us for a few months and we really don't know why considering how sweet he is. Caoba likes to be carried and he enjoys snuggling in your lap. He does an adorable meerkat dance when he wants treats and is really gentle. He is generally slow moving and a very easy dog to walk. Caoba would love to find a home to retire in!

Caoba is neutered, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC, and he'll get one free exam at our vet's office, one free month of pet health insurance and a microchip.
If you'd like to adopt him please call or visit...we are conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and we are open daily from 11am to 7pm.
Caoba can't wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caoba, a Brooklyn Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
