Lorenza, born approximately 3/21/16, is a beautiful tuxy girl – look at those perfect facial markings! She came into rescue with her mom and siblings at about 2 weeks of age and has been handled ever since. She was the runt of the litter but she held her own with her much bigger brother and sister. She was a little standoffish at first – not fascinated by us humans at all. But then she realized how much fun we humans are and how enjoyable it was to be petted. Has a big purr for such a little girl.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lorenza, a North Highlands Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Highlands, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in North Highlands.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Highlands already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Highlands breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Highlands paves the way for another one to be saved.
