Charlie is a very sweet and intelligent dog. He is shy when he meets new people, but he warms up pretty quickly. My fiancé and I have recently come under hard times. I have picked up a second job and no longer have the time to care properly for Charlie. He likes to play and go outside, but now he spends most of his time cooped up in the house. My stepson does not live with us, so he doesn't even have him to play with.

Good with other dogs? He has only been around other dogs at dog parks, and he generally runs away.
Good with cats? He has been around cats. He won't go near them.
Good with Children? He has only been around my stepson and he adores him.
We have tried to rehome him with friends and family, but with no luck. I don't want him to go to a shelter, so I would prefer to find a rescue to help him be re-homed with people who can properly care for him. He is small for a German Shepherd, only 55 lbs. He is up to date on his rabies shot. Charlie loves to play with his toys, cuddle on the couch, and eat turkey bacon for breakfast. He is very affectionate. I have attached a picture to this email.
