Facts about Angel

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: C1130
  • Hair: Short
Angel was abandoned when her owners moved. She was pregnant at the time and later gave birth to a litter in a neighbor’s yard. Mom and kittens came into a Dusty Paws foster home April 20, 2016, when the kittens were about a month old. The kittens were quickly spoken for and now that they have finished nursing have gone to new homes. It’s mom’s turn next to find a permanent home.

Angel is a super friendly, sweet-tempered, talkative cat who loves to have company and basks in attention and affection. She was probably only a year old when she had her kittens this Spring. Her foster parents believe she will do best in a household where her human companion(s) will be a constant in her life. (No more of this being abandoned!)

Angel is now spayed and has also had dental work to deal with a fractured tooth. She is micro-chipped and up to date on vaccinations. Angel appears to be very healthy. However, a potential adopter needs to know that she did test positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV positive cats can live long lives as single cats or in a home with other FIV+ cats. They can also live amicably with cats without the virus as long as they do not fight.

Angel once lived with a Chihuahua and seems to be comfortable around dogs.

About Dusty Paws Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteers whose mission is to save abandoned, neglected and/or abused animals by placing them into permanent, safe, stable and caring new homes. All of us have experience with volunteering in shelters and continue to volunteer.

We do not mind driving to do a home visit nor do we mind taking the time to go anywhere to look at a potential needy animal who needs to be saved from any situation, either in a shelter or in a home. We do take owner surrenders and have an owner assist program but most of our animals come from shelters.

We hate to see any animal suffer and this is why we do this.

Our Adoption Process...

Our process to adopt is as follows: An application form is completed and submitted at which time we will contact the applicant within 24 hours and discuss the animal they are interested in and make an appointment to meet or give them the date of the next adoption showcase. The entire family should meet along with any resident animals, if possible. Once that is done and it seems like a good fit, a home visit is required at which time we can leave the animal for a required sleepover period of approximately 10-14 days and a Sleepover Agreement is then signed; if that works out then we can proceed with adoption. Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs, $100 for cats, $350 for puppies under one year of age and $50 is refunded upon receipt of a Certificate of Completion of Training from a certified training facility/trainer for a puppy adoption. At any given time after the adoption, Dusty Paws Rescue will accept back into our program the adopted animal if it doesn't work out.
