Lady Penelope Of the Emerald Isles ‘Penny’ is 2 ½ years old, moderate activity level with a good off switch. She is very loving to her family, loves to give kisses and is playful. She lives with cats and enjoys playing with them from time to time. Penny loves chewing on antlers and bull horns, loves playing tug-of-war and she has made it her mission to get at the cat food one way or another! Penny however has fear/anxiety of stangers, men and children. Penny would need some one willing to work with her and dedicate their time to training. She has been through some training. Bloodwork has been checked for any abnormalities and is on medication to calm her a little.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a WAterford Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in WAterford, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in WAterford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in WAterford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a WAterford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in WAterford paves the way for another one to be saved.
