My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING for RANGER. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact salemdogs@aol.com

BIO:
RANGER is a 9 year old, smooth red 10 lb Dachshund who finds himself in need of a new, loving family where he can live out the rest of his forevers. His current family finds themselves in circumstances that don't allow them to care for him any longer. According to his previous family, Ranger likes to walk, play fetch, sleep, snuggle and get belly rubs. Ranger loves to "burrow" between blankets, pillows, people. Even if it is a small space, he will wiggle around until he is comfortable. RANGER will do best in a family with a stay at home parent (work from home or retired) and only older children (over age 12), who are familiar with the special needs of Dachshunds.

Please note that this is a Courtesy Listing for a doxie that is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc, ODR-Inc cannot make any guarantees or claims about this doxie...we are just helping to network him and help them find his forever family. For information, please contact salemdogs@aol.com directly.

OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
