My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Griffey (yes, named after the baseball player), a medium-to-large sized adult male (about 3 years old) orange tabby. Also note my big pretty orange eyes and the half-smile that I have when I’m particularly content...

I’m a very gentle and friendly fellow who always wants to be in the same room as my humans (as long as it’s not thundering outside—that makes me hide in the closet). Although sometimes I like to sit in your lap, generally I want to sit/sleep right next to you at all times in order to make it as easy for you as possible to give me head scratches. I’m very well-suited for the life of an indoors cat—I am completely litter box trained, do not make much noise, love my dry cat food, and know to scratch only on my scratching post. I like to play fetch with my toy mouse also—when I’m in the mood to play, you can throw it and I’ll chase it and bring it back to you to throw again. Also, I love water and can often be found splashing around in the tub after someone takes a shower. I bond very closely to my humans, so give me a little patience to get to know you and we’ll both soon be happy when I’m by your side nonstop too!
