My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jacques is looking for a quiet, calm home to spend his senior years. Jacques is a silly, fun-loving, spunky little guy who loves his toys. Jacques would love for his new person to sit on the floor with him and toss soft toys for him to chase. He probably won’t bring them back, but he likes to chase them! Jacques also loves to snuggle next to his person on the couch while they watch TV and would really like a home where he will be allowed to sleep in bed with his person. Jacques gets around very well for an older gentleman; he enjoys short walks to check out the neighborhood but is also quite happy wandering around the yard on a nice day as long as someone is out to keep him company. Jacques is housetrained as long as he can go out on a regular basis so would do best in a home where someone is with him most of the time. Being an older dog, Jacques has lost some of his hearing and can be easily startled. He will need a home without children and where they understand he will need a gentle hand and some time to get used to a new home after spending most of his life in one place. Jacques gets along fine with other small, calm dogs and cats but would also be fine as the only dog in his home.
