My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoey is a super sweet and affectionate petite 3-year-old girl looking for an awesome person or family to call her very own! Could you be the lucky one to whisk her away to her new dream home??

Zoey happily greets you when you return home and is always up for making new human friends. She loves chin rubs and head scratches and streeetching out on the floor for full body pets. While she can become a bit woeful when left alone, after an enthusiastic hello she nonetheless tends to hang out on the sidelines and let you do your own thing (although, like your average cat, she's still pretty sure that laptops were designed to be investigated and walked upon). She also enjoys ferociously using her scratching post and enthusiastically batting around toy mice.

She's a bit quirky when it comes to her food and water dishes. In her mind, left out food was meant to be buried. End of story. Sure, one should also eat it, but it remains important to locate any nearby towel or cloth or movable object and cover the food with it (hint: just remove said items from the food area and problem solved!). And, well, evidently water dishes were made to be splashed in and water should subsequently be licked off the paw rather than routinely lapped out of the dish. Who knew? That being said, Temptation treats are her Absolute Favorite Thing Ever. Hold a treat up in the air and she'll stand on her back legs to grab it from your fingers. Pretty darn cute right there!

Zoey was surrendered to Broken Tail Rescue earlier this spring when her owner didn't feel she was able to give her enough attention after the new human baby entered the picture. But it would seem that baby fever was in the air--because Zoey ended up having kittens of her own just a few weeks later! Zoey was a devoted and attentive mother, but now that the kittens are all grown up and have left the nest (i.e., been adopted!), she's ready to start her life anew. After a few months in a foster home in order to raise her babies, Zoey has relocated to the PetSmart Adoption Center in Cambridge and is now anxiously awaiting your visit!
