My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

9/2/2017: MOJI HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 12/27/2016: MOJI HAS BEEN RETURNED AGAIN.... THIS POOR DOG CAN NOT CATCH A BREAK! THIS IS THE 4TH HOME SHE HAS BEEN IN IN HER SHORT LIFE! THE ADOPTER SAID SHE COULD NOT HANDLE HER AROUND MEN IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX (ALTHOUGH SHE DID WALK HER ON A 20FOOT LEAD AND HAD NO CONTROL OVER MOJI WHILE ON WALKS).ADOPTER STATED THAT MOJI LOVED KIDS AND WAS VERY GOOD INSIDE THE APARTMENT. SHE WAS JUST UNCOMFORTABLE AROUND NEW PEOPLE AND MORE THAN LIKELY PROTECTIVE OVER HER NEW OWNER. MOJI IS A GOOD DOG WHO JUST NEEDS THE RIGHT OWNER! IF SOMEONE IS WILLING TO WORK WITH HER IN NEW SITUATIONS AND AROUND NEW PEOPLE, SHE WOULD DO WELL. SHE WOULD ALSO DO WELL IN A HOME WHERE HER NEW OWNERS HAVE FEW VISITORS AND WHO JUST WANT A CANINE COMPANION TO SPEND THEIR TIME WITH. SHE BONDS VERY QUICKLY TO PEOPLE AND WILL BE YOUR VELCRO DOG, IF YOU LET HER. 12/13/2016: MOJI HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 11/20/2016: MOJI IS PAD ELIGIBLE-YOU GET TO PICK YOUR OWN ADOPTION FEE IN AN EFFORT TO GET MOJI IN A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! THIS SPECIAL ADOPTION FEE OFFER WILL BE GOING ON NOW UNTIL CHRISTMAS.WE JUST ASK THAT YOU BE FAIR IN YOUR OFFER AS WE DO PUT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME. CARE AND MONEY INTO EACH DOG. OUR ADOPTION FEES ALLOW US TO CONTINUE TO HELP HOMELESS PETS. Moji is approx 2 1/2 years old and has been in several homes during her short life. She is skittish and can be fearful, showing teeth and growling when scared. We do not recommend Moji for an inexperienced dog owner, nor do we recommend her for a home with small children. She seems to be less fearful when she is not confined so for that reason, we do not recommend a crate although she is crate trained (she is either very protective of her space or has spent much too long confined in small areas).Because of her past history of being shuffled around, we believe that she does not have a lot of trust in people so it is imperative that whoever adopts her is patient and understanding and will not try to force themselves upon her. We believe that she may be an airedale terrier/westie mix and is around 25 pounds which makes her a small-medium sized dog. Once she feels safe, she relaxes and is friendly, looking for attention and love. We feel that she may have been abused at some point in her life and has had little to no stability in her life, which causes instability in her. Moji has been dog tested at our house and seems to do fine with dogs that are her size or smaller..she appears skittish and unsure around larger dogs. She also does not seem to like loud noises. Although we have pointed out a lot of things in Moji that need to be mentioned to any potential adopters, we do feel that she has great potential and with the right care and TLC, she can bloosom into the perfect dog! She does appear to be housebroken and walks nicely on the leash. If she can just be helped to overcome her insecurities, you will have a wonderful companion! If interested in Moji, please submit an adoption application and your interest inquiry via email or call us at (352)493-1255 for more information. Moji's adoption fee will be $150 to assist with her vetting and cost of daily care while with us.
