My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING for RUSTY. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact bontrag@comcast.net

BIO: RUSTY is a 14 year old, smooth Red Dapple male Dachshund and weighs approximately 9 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. RUSTY is house and car trained. His previous family is moving across the country and their new landlord doesn't allow pets so they have asked Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. to help him find a new family who will love and cherish him as he deserves. Like many doxies, RUSTY loves to snuggle up in blankets and keep a watchful eye on his family. He isn't a fan of other animals, so he will do best as the only fur child in a family with a stay at home parent (retired/work from home) to whome he can give you his love and affection. If you or someone you know has room in your life for a senior doxie like Rusty, please reach out. This little man needs a home as soon as possible.

Please note that this is a Courtesy Listing for a doxie that is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc, ODR-Inc cannot make any guarantees or claims about this doxie...we are just helping to network him and help them find his forever family. For information, please contact bontrag@comcast.net directly.

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.

Just a reminder that this is a COURTESY LISTING for RUSTY. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact bontrag@comcast.net.
