Facts about Manni & Chula (bonded pair)

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
This is Manni (white boy) and Chula (brindle girl). These two super sweet chihuahua mixes were rescued from Philadelphia animal control where their owners dropped them off with a terrible case of demodex (non contagious mange). They were in very rough shape but after many months of treatment are both doing very well. They have been off treatment for a long time now with no signs of recurrence so they are ready for their forever home.

The previous owners had claimed that Manni is Chula's son. They are very bonded and we'd like to keep them together. Manni is estimated to be about 3-5 years old and Chula about 5-6 years old. They both weigh about 12 lbs. Manni is a super sweet and loving boy. He is super playful and gets along with everyone. Chula is super sweet as well. She enjoys playing with Manni but would rather just curl up in your lap and snuggle. They will need TLC as they adjust to their new life.

This is a very special pair who obviously lived a horrible life of neglect before coming in to our care. They are super dogs and deserve a real home where they can be loved and feel safe and secure.

Special discount applies for adopting a bonded pair.

We currently adopt in the states of PA (eastern), NJ, NY, DE, MD and CA.

If you are interested in meeting these two sweethearts, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.

We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Our adoption fee is on our application. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.

We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

Our organization is run by volunteers who all work full time so we ask that you apply only if you are sure you are ready to adopt a dog. For casual lookers, please visit us at one of our adoption events which are posted on our website:

We do not have a shelter - all of our dogs are in foster homes.

Our adoption application is on our website at

Our adoption fees are on our application and vary by age of the dog. Since we are a public charity, we rely on the adoption fee and donations to help us cover vet bills for our rescues.

We believe in matching the family with the right dog so we do not have a checklist of requirements - some dogs need a fenced in yard where others do just fine with regular leash walking. The only general requirement we have is that adopters of our puppy mill rescues must have a fenced in yard since these dogs can be flight risks at first. Most puppy mill dogs will not do well in a home that doesn't have another dog.

It is impossible for us to answer all inquiries due to the high volume of email that we receive. However, if you apply for a dog and have not heard back within 3 days, please feel free to email us at to make sure your application went through OK. We prioritize emails from applicants and adopters.
