Facts about Maxwell

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Est 2 yrs old, DSH Brown mackeral tabby, neutered male (FIV+). Maxwell was one of many dumped pet cats on the east side of the Max Brewer Bridge in Titusville. He was very thin when rescued as he was too scared to go eat with the feral colony. He's gaining weight and confidence in his foster mom's room with some older kitties. He's ready for his new furrever home. FIV is very hard to spread to other cats, unless you have a very aggressive cat of your own. Maxwell is not aggressive at all. FIV can only be spread via a deep puncture wound; Maxwell's saliva would have to directly enter the other cat's bloodstream. Most rescues mix non-aggressive FIV+ cats with our other fosters and it does not spread ... it is not a disease ... it is a virus in their blood that simply makes their immune system weak. Don't let this scare you away from a great companion cat ! Contact SandyGmeow@aol.com for adoption info.
