Beatrice's Story...
Hey, I’m Beatrice. I’m a mature gal who lost her folks. I’m mellow sweet and I still have a playful side. I’m happy to be alive, but I’m ready to get back home. I’m 8 years old and this is no place to spend your adult life! I have many, many, healthy years ahead of me and I sure don’t want to spend them here. I’m a total people dog! I love them! I want to be inside with the family cuddled up while you read a book. I’m very, very sweet , alittle shy and the perfect mix between relaxed and playful. I even do well with cats and dogs. What to ya say? Break me out? 8 years old-40lbs. My adoption fee is $100 and includes; spay rebate, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (Portland/Milwaukie area), 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beatrice, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
