Sugar's Story...
Ah heck!  Don't make me say it…Yes, I am sweet as sugar! I am a social little love .  I have been around children and other dogs, and yes I do enjoy them both. But I am a little thing so I will need to be treated gently and with respect. I am used to being a house dog, I am paper-trained and doing well with my house-training. I have great spirit and energy, I like to cuddle and give kisses just as much as I like to run and play. I'd really love to get out and enjoy everything life has to offer- would you like to be my guide? 2 years old-15lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; spay, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam (Portland/Milwaukie area), 5 week training class, leash/collar, toy and treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Portland Pug/Schipperke dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Schipperke for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pug/Schipperke dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Schipperke breeders who help with Pug/Schipperke rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
