Jennings's Story...
Hi there! My name's Jennings, what's yours? I was recently brought to the shelter as a stray. We're not sure what happened to my family. Hopefully I'll be able to find a new home, with someone who won't let me run away. I'm a very sweet boy, and would love to find a home with someone who will love me forever and ever. Could YOU be that special someone I've been waiting for?

I'm already up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and also have a microchip. I would do well in a home with other dogs, but we don't know what I think of cats and kids yet. Do you have room in your heart for an older gentleman like me? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jennings, a Youngwood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
