Important Note

Peanut is best friends with Duchess. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Peanut was injured by an animal in the past. He is missing part of one rear foot, and his tail. His eye was also injured and he is blind in that eye. However, no one told Peanut that any of this is a problem. He runs and jumps and has a great time! He needs a loving home that will look past his missing pieces and see his sunny personality. This charming boy fell in love with Duchess while in foster care and they're now available as a pair!

About Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue, inc

About Our Rescue Group...

Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue, Inc. was established in 2014 by a small group of rabbit lovers who met while volunteering at the Irvine Animal Care Center. Over time we saw that rabbits with treatable medical conditions were sometimes candidates for euthanasia because the expense for cure, maintenance, or even end-of-life hospice would be too great for municipal animal shelters to justify.

We formed a non-profit 501c (3) rescue organization run entirely by volunteers to provide medical care and rehabilitation for Orange County shelter rabbits. Our goals include the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of treatable rabbits, plus public education regarding proper rabbit care.

We rely on public donations. 100% of monies go directly to our bunnies to pay for veterinary care, drugs & medical supplies, hay, pellets, fresh greens, housing, spay/neuter, advertising, event supplies, office supplies, toys and other needed environmental enrichments. The rabbits are housed with foster families during their treatment, rehabilitation, and while waiting for their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to complete a pre-adoption questionnaire, and to meet our bunny prior to adoption. If our rabbit is to be a companion to an current pet rabbit, we require that they meet prior to finalization of the adoption. The current pet must be spayed/neutered at least four weeks prior to the "bunny date". This introduction can take place at an adoption event, the adopter's home, or our foster's home. Fees are $60 ($100 for a bonded pair) and all rabbits are spayed/neutered and microchipped.
