A - ABBIE's Story...
Hi, there! My name is ABBIE. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! WATCH MY VIDEO - https://youtu.be/KXkrdb2PZAU

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you!

I am a Border Collie/Lab mix puppy about 8 months old and I weigh 28 pounds. I will probably be about 50 pounds when I grow up. I will have had all of my shots and be spayed before I go to meet you in my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures said I’d also be microchipped – whatever THAT is.

Wanna hear some more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am extremely friendly with people and other dogs. Since I’m just a puppy, I could probably be trained to get along with cats, too! I am super sweet, my foster tells everyone. I know she’s telling the truth because they all love on me and smile and speak very sweetly to me. So, it must be true! AND, I’ve had no accidents in the house because I learned the doggie door very quickly and I’m very sweet and polite. How ‘bout that, huh?

Can you stand hearing more good things about me? Well, I am so happy to be with my peeps, as soon as you start talking sweetly to me, I fall over and roll over on my back so you can tickle my tummy. I’m learning “Leave It.” I already know “Sit”.

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email mpringle001@comcast.net and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $500 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.) Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - ABBIE, a Boston Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
