Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB April 1, 2006.
Penny is a beautiful, elegant brown tabby version of a diva! She has specific needs and preferences. She is a senior girl who is full of purrs, but who likes her space. She does not get along with other pets, and she likes a quiet lifestyle in the company of mature humans only. She enjoys cheek and head rubs and getting brushed, but she also likes to eat and then have her alone time. Due to her previous history of neglect and mistreatment, and also for to having been declawed in the past, Penny can be reserved, and at times can try to lash out when she's scared, thinking she still has to protect herself.
Penny would do well in a home where she's the only pet, and where she can share company and rubs with her owner, but then be let to go off to her own space. She would need a quiet home where the expectation is that she needs love and respect, but also needs lots of quiet, peaceful "me time". Penny is a very special girl seeking her very special family.
Penny shares: "After such a hard start to my life, I am glad to be with TCR! I am happy in my foster home with food, my favourite cat bed, and head rubs!"
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice appreciated, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.
