Duke's Story...
-2yrs old - Male - mix
If Duke were a cartoon character he would be Scooby Doo.
He is goofy and clumsy and funny and cuddly.
He is a big puppy and he loves to play and run around in the backyard and he's always excited to play in the water hose. He follows me around all day and just melts for belly rubs and cuddles on the sofa.
He's incredibly smart and can learn just about anything very quickly.
He gets along great with dogs and cats, but he would be just as happy being an only dog because he loves people most of all.
He's an incredibly sweet boy and even though he's got a lot of energy he's very gentle. Those are the first things people notice and comment on when they're not commenting on how handsome he is. He's going to grow up to be a great pup!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Austin Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
