Juliet's Story...
Meet Juliet! A very sweet little girl looking for a responsible, loving and permanent home. Juliet came into the shelter with raw, peeling skin. She was given a bath and staff ruled out possible reasons for her skin issues. At this point we believe it may be a food allergy and we have put her on a special diet. She is very timid and under socialized but also such an affectionate and loving girl. Juliet will need a family that will be patient with her as she learns to trust. Respectful children 12 and older who won't overwhelm her would be best. A cat should be alright. She could live with another small dog that can help her adjust to her new home. Her adopter will have to sign a medical waiver acknowledging her skin condition. An adoption counselor can talk with you more in detail about this. If you are interested in meeting Juliet, please fill out an adoption application at customer service.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juliet, a Bellingham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
