Licorice's Story...
Meet beautiful Licorice! This sweet boy is timid and shy and the shelter and desperately needs a loving home of his own. Licorice has a the kindest soul but is very, very shy and nervous in the shelter environment with so much barking and action. He needs patient, loving guardians who will assure him that he is loved and help him come out of his shell. He will also need owners willing to provide additional training so that Licorice can grow into his best doggie self. Licorice has lived with children and other dogs in the past and we think he would do well with friendly companions of either specie. Licorice is a truly special boy, just waiting for the love he deserves so that he can return it a million fold!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Licorice, a Vancouver Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
