Max's Story...
My Stats:
Beagle + Chihuahua + Rat Terrier mix
1 ½ years old
Male
16 pounds
Nickname: Wonder-dog & Maximillian
Favorite Activities: Walks are always fun and I sure do love a good game of chase so I would love to share my home with another dog or even a dog savvy cat. Oh and toys…I guess I’m just a playful guy! I enjoy working on the commands that I know and going out for potty breaks. At the end of a long day nothing beats a good cuddle session.
Pet Peeves: Long car rides aren’t for me because they make me sick. Going into my crate at the end of the day although I am getting better each and every day and getting more comfortable in there!
Come in and meet me so we can get to know each other better!
My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Portland Chihuahua/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Beagle breeders who help with Chihuahua/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
