Valkyrie-Pending's Story...
Valkyrie is an energetic and happy three year old Shepherd/Husky mix. She is house trained, leash trained but could use some work with crate training and needs close supervision around gardens. She enjoys long walks and she loves to play with her brother and her humans. After a warm up period she likes to be close to her people and prefers to sleep close by. She does well with larger dogs and with close supervision does well with smaller dogs. She gets very excited around cats. Valkyrie is currently living with her brother, an older cat and in a home with many children aged 4 - 12 coming and going during the day; she especially enjoys all of the attention and treats she receives from the children.

Valkyrie would thrive with someone that leads a very active lifestyle. Valkyrie is highly energetic and loves to run, play ball and play with the older children. Although she does well her larger brother and the cat (who mainly stays out of sight), she would do best in a home with larger active dogs or in a home with no other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Valkyrie-Pending, a Saskatoon Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
