Rachel's Story...
Rachel is 5 months old and was brought into the rescue at 4 weeks old after she was found in a trash bag with her 7 brothers and sisters next to a water sewer. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is very closely bonded to her brother, Ross, and it would be wonderful if they could go to their forever home together. She's a little more reserved than her brother, but that doesn't mean she isn't a sweet girl. It takes her a little longer to adjust to changes, but once she does she rewards you with cuddles, rubs, and purrs. She's good with children and cats after a 2-3 day adjustment period, and she would probably be fine with dogs as well (though there are no doggy friends in her foster home). She loves to play and has the softest fur ever!

Adoption fee of $95.00 includes shots, spay or neuter, and initial vetting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rachel, a Middletown Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Middletown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Middletown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Middletown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Middletown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Middletown paves the way for another one to be saved.
