Derry is a male Shih Tzu approximately 3 ½ years old. He is a beautiful frosted black color with a large white splash on his chest. His coat is silky soft and non-shedding. Derry is small and manageable, weighing 12 pounds full grown. He is very cuddly and is delightful to hold and snuggle. Derry adores rolling over on his back for belly rubs and is sweetly affectionate. He is quiet and gentle, great with kids and gets along easily with other dogs. Inside the home, Derry is perfectly behaved, housebroken, and truly a joy to have around. He will follow you from room to room and enjoys keeping you company. If you have to go somewhere Derry will settle down in a comfortable spot for a nap until you return. He welcomes guests without barking and has a friendly tail wagging for everyone he meets. Derry also has a cute, playful side where he will race all around in circles like a puppy when he's happy. His joyful display is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, or even a hearty laugh. In terms of personality, Derry is outstanding. Derry has a unique "smile" as you can see from his pictures and is easily recognizable. He is one of a kind! He rides quietly in the car and is excellent in public. Derry's breed is somewhat prone to juvenile cataracts and he does have cataracts in both eyes. These do not cause him pain, and he can still see just fine. However, our rescue is investigating having his cataracts surgically repaired since he is still a younger dog. We know that once you meet Derry, you will fall madly in love with him as we all have here. He is a deserving boy and will make a wonderful pet and companion. Derry was rescued from the shelter where he was brought in stray and neglected. He is so loving and darling in every way and will thrive being pampered and fussed over. Derry is ready for his new forever home today!
Derry’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
