Bixby's Story...
My name is Bixby and I am 1-2 years old, but I am a still a puppy at heart. I love to run, jump (very high!), and play, especially with other little doggies. Cats don't really understand me when I try to play with them. And watch out, once I've played enough I will need to crash on your lap for a little nap! I also like to snuggle up next to you in bed. I am learning proper pottie manners, but I still need to be reminded sometimes. I have long hair, but I surprised my foster parents by barely shedding at all so far this summer.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bixby, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
