My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Olive (HWTH#15457B). She is a Long Hair Dachshund/Terrier mix, DOB: 8/28/15. Olive weighs approx. 15 pounds and stands 12 inches at the shoulders. Olive is very sweet with people and likes to be held (she probably will want to be your lap dog and bed buddy if you so choose). She was relinquished to Halfway to Home because the other dog at her home attacked her. At the rescue Olive is with other dogs her size and is comfortable with them. She may be a little leery of larger dogs. Olive seems like a pretty active little girl and should have some sort of exercise to keep her fit and out of mischief. Once Olive has thoroughly settled into her new Forever home she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Lots of love and good-quality human companionship will be a must. She is crate trained and has learned to use a doggie door.
