Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DUGGER is a 1.5 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 71 pounds. Dugger is a strong active pup who likes to be with people and get petted. The shelter says he loves to play in the pool they have set up outside, as soon as he is let off lead he runs over ad hops in then rolls around in the water then hops out to go roll on the grass then back in the pool.. Dugger's coat is sun-bleached, he must have spent a fortune getting it highlighted at a salon, he will be a dark chocolate when his new coat grows in. Rides well settles down and watches the scenery passing by. He needs an active family with a yard so he can get the exercise he needs. Good with other dogs has been out with several at the shelter with several with no problems. Knows sit, come. Will have Training Addendum, as he is a young dog and can use more. Is strong and pulls on lead, learning what easy means, He is okay with an Easy Walk Harness. Most likely house trained, waits until he goes outside to go. Animal Control says - Dugger, who was a stray to the shelter, he's great with people and good with other dogs. He does need to learn more manners as he pulls a lot on leash, but is not a jumper. He is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!
update: Dugger had been with us for almost a week and has made so much progress! Initially he was scared of the stairs and of the street. He has mastered both in record time! He walks great with an easy walk harness all around our neighborhood; he climbs the stairs with no hesitation and keeps up w the resident dogs. He loves to chew on the Kong and chase around the resident dogs in the backyard. Dugger knows sit and will give you his paw after being out to get his paws wiped. Dugger loves his belly rubs and will gently tap you with his paw for more rubs! Overall, he has been a fabulous house guest and has no issues being left alone in the house...and sleeps through the night. He does whine when you leave...but settles down in about 5-10 minutes.
Update: Dugger is a handsome boy! He is fabulous with resident dogs in his foster home, is house trained, and knows a few commands! He loves the backyard and chasing the resident dogs around. He loves people and really enjoys rolling around with the resident black lab. He got a bath yesterday and his fosters found out quickly that he LOVES water.
