Buddy's Story...
Buddy needs a pal, how about you? He's a 3 year old handsome Pit mix. Buddy's owner said the dog was given to him by a friend and was just too strong to handle. He is house trained and has manners in the home. Buddy's owner also stated that he knows a few basic commands (sit, paw). Friendship's trainer evaluated the dog and saw no signs of dog aggression and was friendly with other people. Buddy could use an owner that is used to handling strong dogs. Older kids are recommended. Make this Buddy your buddy today!

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Elyria American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Elyria, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
